FitoFibra Breeding is a blend of selected forages containing digestible fibres and adequate nutrients, with cereals and enriched with medicinal plants (including Passionflower, Flax and Plantain), minerals and vitamins. It ensures proper nutrition for the pregnant mare from conception, guaranteeing the birth of a healthy foal and supporting lactation with essential nutrients.
FitoFibra Breeding contains minerals, such as copper, essential for the diet of both stallion and mare, and for building the cells of the future foal.
Nutritional properties:
FitoFibra Breeding is formulated from a selected forage base of first‑cut hay and alfalfa, essential for protein supply, highly digestible fibres and essential amino acids. The product also contains Radicchio, Parsley and Nettle, ideal for protecting and strengthening the circulatory and immune systems, which during these physiological phases are more vulnerable to pathogens. These medicinal plants, together with added yeast, promote fibre fermentation and nutrient absorption, while also making the product palatable thanks to the aroma and flavour appreciated by horses. FitoFibra Breeding is a low‑sugar, low‑starch feed that provides energy through the digestible fibres present in the forages. This makes it ideal for supporting the mare’s intestine during the final stage of gestation.
The fibres also make FitoFibra Breeding an excellent feed for foals during weaning up to 24 months, supporting the health and development of the digestive system.
Instructions for use
It is recommended to administer 1.2 to 1.8 kg/100 kg of horse body weight per day, while providing other fibre sources*, such as hay or straw. Adjust the quantity according to individual needs, activity level and dietary requirements.
It is advisable to divide the daily ration into at least 3 meals.
Ensure access to fresh water at all times to support hydration and overall well‑being.
For horses with chewing difficulties, the feed may be moistened.
*Fibre length is adequate when it is at least 5 cm. This allows proper chewing and saliva production, which is important to buffer stomach acidity. (N.R.C. 2007; Kristen M. Janicki, MS, PAS, 2018)
