Blends represent the natural evolution of Italian hay fields, grown without herbicides: they are natural forages grown on mixed meadows and mechanically processes only, preserving the original nutritional characteristics of the natural grass species.
They are composed of autochthonous botanical essences, such as legumes and grasses, naturally present in variable concentrations: Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) and Grasses (Phleum Pratense, Lolium italicum, Lolium perenne, Poa pratensis, Dactylis glomerata, Bromus inermis, Bromus catharticus, Festuca rubra).
Blends are forages with excellent nutritional composition, rich in highly digestible fiber, sugar, protein, and trace elements.
Thanks to the presence of legumes, blends supply essential amino acids, necessary to cover animals’ maintenance needs and, particularly in the case of dairy cattle, to promote the synthesis of casein.
Blends also play an irreplaceable dietary role due to their long fiber physical structure: by promoting chewing, they contribute to the regulation of rumen pH, with beneficial effects on digestion.
The selection and processing of blends in Gruppo Carli plants allow to obtain a healthy forage, free from foreign bodies, without mold or internal fermentation, 100% usable.
