Product informations

A complete feed for small ruminants, specifically designed for the dry phase. Fibres are predominantly selected from grasses to create an effective rumen base. The fibres come from areas with low potassium content, with the aim of controlling the Anion-Cation Balance (D-CAD), the reference principle for the correct management of calcium metabolism during the delicate peripartum phase. Particular care is taken in the processing of the fibre: it is specially sized to suit the stage and characteristics of the animals. This ensures maximum ingestibility and counteracts the animals’ natural tendency to take up the ration by selecting the parts they like best.

Instructions for use

Feed ad libitum, it meets the animals’ full requirements during this phase and is therefore suitable for use as a complete feed.

Voluntary daily consumption may be:

  • Sheep 1.3 – 1.6 kg;
  • Goats 1.8 – 2.2 kg.

The product can also be used to supplement on-farm resources. During the last two weeks prior to calving, especially in the case of multiple births, it may be important to provide a supplement with a higher calcium and protein content.
In these phases it is advisable to work under the guidance of a qualified technician to whom Gruppo Carli will be happy to provide, if requested, the technical details useful for the best use of the product
