Dehydrated forage: technology and quality made in Italy and Spain
🎌Daily Dairy News, a Japanese media platform specializing in dairy sector news, devoted considerable space to the tour at the end of September in which, as part of the EU dehydrated fodder project, several Italian and Spanish production companies opened the doors of their plats to Japanese companies interested to the potential of dehydrated forage from the EU.
One of factories visited was the Gruppo Carli dehydration plant in Mezzano (RA).

The article describes Gruppo Carli as follows
«…In Ravenna, Gruppo Carli integrates dehydrated forage production with a research and quality control center. Each stage is monitored by the Ministry of Health and veterinarians, with stringent protocols that go well beyond international standards. ‘Feed safety is directly linked to food safety,’ emphasizes Christian Carli, sales manager for Asia.
«The company produces 140,000 tons of dried forage per year and guarantees total traceability through an internal app that allows the origin of crops to be traced in real time. There is also a commitment to sustainability: the drum is powered by gas obtained from the combustion of crushed hazelnut shells, a choice that reduces waste and avoids odorous contamination of the feed».
We are happy for the attention we have received, it confirms that our constant commitment to producing high-quality, safe, and sustainable fodder is also recognized internationally. This appreciation encourages us to continue along the path we have taken: innovating without ever losing the values which have always guided our work: respect for the environment, feed safety and production chain traceability.🌿
