Product information

Strawluxe bedding by Gruppo Carli is obtained from grain crops such as soft wheat, barley and spelt, grown on Italian fields, chopped, compressed into pellets exclusively through a mechanical process.
Composed 100% by natural cereal straw, the product does not contain additives or glues.
GMO-free.
Absorbs up to 400% of its volume.
Reduces the ammonia smell.
Maximum thermal isolation.
No harmful to animals if ingested.

Instructions for use

1. Replacing the old bedding

It is important to accustom gradually the horse to the new bedding: during daily cleaning, integrate the old bedding with small quantities of Strawluxe pellet until it is completely replaced, normally within 7 to 10 days.

2. New bedding

Distribute approximately 3-6 kg of Carli Strawluxe pellet per sq.m. (the quantity proposed is indicative, it must be adapted to one's case).
During daily cleaning remove only the dirt and the wet part and add new product as needed.
After 30-40 days remove completely the box, clean the floor, leave the stall open to dry then sprinkle the Strawluxe pellet over the entire floor. Leave the box open for about half an hour to allow the dust to settle before returning to the horse the clean box.

Straw pellets are considered, as well as peat, the best material for horse bedding (*), both in relation to its absorption capacity (4.5 liters per kg) and to the absence of dust. Generally, horses do not eat straw in pellet form, as they could do instead with traditional straw, and even if it happens it implies no side effects (on the contrary, it is extremely risky to put at their disposal paper of wood).
Freely disposable, Carli Strawluxe can rapidly be transformed into compost, which has no impact on the environment.
