A complete feed for small ruminants specifically designed for the lactation phase, with careful attention to nutritional value and physical structure.
It consists of carefully selected high-quality forages and concentrates to balance the ration, resulting in a physical structure that effectively stimulates ruminal activity. The product is carefully blended, making it difficult for animals to select.
Designed for use as a complete feed, it should be left freely available to the animals throughout their stay in the barn or confined area.
It is the main feed base for lactating goats and sheep and can be supplemented with a specific food supplement during milking.
EMPFOHLENE VERWENDUNG
Ovicap Lactation Totalfeed can meet the needs of medium production animals when fed ad libitum. It is therefore suitable for use as a complete feed, which is particularly useful when operating under permanent housing conditions.
Voluntary daily consumption will vary in this case depending on the species and breed reared:
- Small sheep (Sarda) fed solely on this product may voluntarily consume a ration of 1.7-2.2 kg;
- Large sheep (Asaf, Lacaune) may consume as much as 2,6-3.3 kg;
- Highly productive large goats (Saanen) can consume 3-3.5 kg.
The product is supplied in 25 kg packages; once the packaging is removed, each bale is divided into four compact portions. Feed these quarters without altering their structure, which will limit the natural tendency of the animals to select the components and promote a regular and uniform intake. Depending on the species and characteristics of the animals reared, it is possible, if necessary, to provide a food supplement during milking.
